SATA Group presents "Satinhas", a young aviator who is already enchanting young and adult passengers.

SATA Group's Airlines have presented its new mascot for children and grown-ups, a young pilot named "Satinhas". The new mascot was created to accompany the Azorean group's activities, specially designed for children throughout the year and during June.

Therefore, "Satinhas" landed for the first time at João Paulo II Airport in Ponta Delgada (São Miguel, Azores) and did not go unnoticed by the younger passengers who encountered him. His surprising appearance led the young pilot to apply the principles of a good "checklist" to better coordinate the spontaneous waves of hugs and selfie requests.

The new mascot made his debut at the service of the SATA Group airlines, with a first stop at Lisbon Zoo, where he met the boys and girls of a foster home. He had the unique mission of surprising and accompanying them on the traditional SATA visit to the Lisbon Zoo, a program that has been taking place every year for more than two decades, thanks to the partnership established with this century-old and unique institution in the country, and which continues to delight children and adults alike.

This year, and as part of the "June, the Month of Children" program, the airlines have already carried out study visits to the SATA Air Açores Maintenance and Engineering Hangar, offered a flight baptism to a class from the Lajes do Pico Primary School, accompanied visits to the Lisbon Zoo, celebrated Children's Day by offering a play bag on board their flights and launched a campaign offering 500 miles to all SATA IMAGINE Kids members.
