AZORES
CTT is the provider of the social mobility subsidy available to passengers covered under the air services between the Mainland, the Autonomous Region of Madeira and the Autonomous Region of the Azores regulated by Decree No. 41/2015 of March 24th and Ordinance No. 95-A/2015, of March 27.
Recipients
Resident passengers in the Azores, or equivalent and students (provided they meet the eligibility requirements set out in the above and applicable law) who have travel between the Azores and the mainland or between the Azores and Madeira Islands.
Subsidy
Between the mainland and the Azores for residents and resident equivalent passengers.
- The value of the subsidy is the difference between the maximum eligible cost of €600.00 and the maximum value of € 134.00 per trip round trip;
Between the mainland and the Azores for students passengers
- The value of the subsidy is the difference between the maximum eligible cost of €600.00 and the maximum value of € 99.00 per trip round trip;
Between islands of Madeira and the Azores for residents and resident equivalent passengers
- The value of the subsidy is the difference between the maximum eligible cost of €600.00 and the maximum value of € 119.00 per trip round trip;
Between islands of Madeira and the Azores for students
- The value of the subsidy is the difference between the maximum eligible cost of €600.00 and the maximum value of € 89.00 per trip round trip.
The maximum ticketing fee is €35.00 for one-way tickets (OW) and €70.00 for round-trip tickets (RT).
Is not assigned social mobility when the eligible cost is equal to or less than the maximum amount, as applicable.
Documentation
The following documents must be presented at the time the payment is made:
- Boarding pass;
- Passenger identity card;
- Passenger taxpayer card;
- An invoice proving the ticket purchase or a document proving the cost of the air transport, with the folowing information:
- Reservation code
- Ticket number
- Travel origin
- Travel destination
- Passenger name(first and last name)
- Taxpayer number of the company/agency that sold the ticket
- Receipt number
- Ticket total amount
- Fare amount without taxes
Deadlines
The deadline to apply for the subsidy (refund) is 90 days from the date of the return journey, or after the date of the outward journey when:
- The beneficiary has purchased a round-trip ticket
- The beneficiary has purchased a one way ticket and the eligible cost exceeds the maximum value set to travel round trip

The receipt will be sent to your email address after processing the request.
Note: When the beneficiary travels on duty or on behalf of a legal person (e.g. company or individual), the refund can be requested from the provider of the payment service for this legal person, as long as the invoice is issued on behalf of it and indicating the name of the beneficiary and the respective vat number, and the request is accompanied by boarding passes and other documents required in accordance with Article 6, paragraph 6) of Decree-law No. 41/2015 of 24 March 2015.
Electronic Ticket Changes
Whenever a reservation change involves the issuance of a new electronic ticket, another receipt must be requested using the new electronic ticket number.

Recipients
Resident passengers in the islands of Madeira, or equivalent and students (provided they meet the eligibility requirements set out in the above and applicable law) who have travel between the islands of Madeira and the mainland or between the islands of Madeira and the Azores.
Subsidy
Between the mainland and the islands of Madeira for residents and resident equivalent passengers.
- The value of the subsidy is the difference between the eligible costs and the maximum value of € 86.00 per trip, round trip;
Between the mainland and the islands of Madeira for students passengers
- The value of the subsidy is the difference between the eligible costs and the maximum value of € 65.00 per trip, round trip;
Between islands of Madeira and the Azores for residents and resident equivalent passengers
- The value of the subsidy is the difference between the eligible costs and the maximum value of € 119.00 per trip, round trip;
Between islands of Madeira and the Azores for students
- The value of the subsidy is the difference between the eligible costs and the maximum value of € 89.00 per trip round trip.
Is not assigned the social mobility subsidy when the eligible cost is equal to or less than the maximum amount, as applicable.
Also will not be awarded subsidy mobility whenever the eligible cost is equal or superior than € 400.00, and on the fares without restrictions or equivalent tariff and the conditions of those enable to the date of travel, cancellation, re-routing or route change, without penalty (as indicated in Article 2 of the above mentioned decree).

- Boarding pass;
- Passenger identity card;
- Passenger taxpayer card;
- Document that proves the passenger's eligibility in the case of non-residence;
- Receipt/bill with the folowing information:
- Reservation code
- Ticket number
- Travel origin
- Travel destination
- Passenger name(first and last name)
- Taxpayer number of the company/agency that sold the ticket
- Receipt number
- Ticket total amount
- Fare amount without taxes
Deadlines
The beneficiary passenger must apply for the subsidy (reimbursement) after the sixtieth day following the date of issue of the invoice and no later than 90 days from the date of the return trip.
- The beneficiary has purchased a round-trip ticket.
- The beneficiary has purchased a one way ticket and the eligible cost exceeds the maximum cost set to travel round trip

Electronic Ticket Changes
Whenever a reservation change involves the issuance of a new electronic ticket, another receipt must be requested using the new electronic ticket number.
If the reservation change does not involve an addition to the value of the ticket, the receipt will show the value of €0.00. In the case of issuing a new electronic ticket, all receipts must be presented to the payment provider entity (CTT).
